July 14, 2004 — Philadelphia native, David E.X.N. Nghiem returns after a one year exploration voyage in South and Central America. On July 2001, David quit his job, closed his apartment, sold, donated, and stored his things, and left everything and everyone for South America. Riding alone on his bicycle, with no more than his wits and a few belongings, he set off on an expedition to find adventure, romance, and an ancient mystery that encompassed all of humanity.
Almost a year and 10 countries later, he came back to Cherry Hill with a rare and powerful message concerning the planet's physical changes, about the effects of globalization, the beauty of the people and cultures of the Americas, and of the tribulations and magic of a quest.
He recently spoke to the Haddon Heights local Hispanic cultural group about exploring the Guatemalan jungles and finding a lost Mayan City. David currently gives multimedia presentations about his journeys. For more information, you can contact him at: David E.X.N.
